1940's Dinky Toys Auto Union Race Car. No. 23d.
Die-cast model by Dinky Toys Meccano. Scale 1:43. This is a rare early post-war transitional example. The pre-war type had the driver, no rivets (clip-in base) and no "Auto Union" stamp. The official post-war type had no driver, riveted baseplate and "Auto Union" stamp. Some just post-war types, such as this one, still had the smooth hubs and the driver included. Unboxed.
