A single page satirical printing from "PUNCH , OR THE LONDON CHARIVARI". An original antique cutting from a disbound volume - not a reproduction or re-print. Dated June 13, 1900. The image shows President Paul Kruger on a horse with the title "SHIFTING HIS CAPITAL".

Below, it states "It is not true," Mr.Kruger is reported, in the Daily Express, to have said, "that I have brought with me gold to the value of two millions. Whatever monetary resources I may have with me are simply those we require for State purposes".

Overall condition is very good. Mounted behind glass but not glued if one wishes to reframe. Paper may show some signs of age-toning and/or unrelated print on reverse.

Punch, or The London Charivari was a British weekly magazine of humour and satire established in 1841 by Henry Mayhew and wood-engraver Ebenezer Landells.
