A rare Vietnam War Vietcong embroidered silk banner or flag. The upper part states "MAT TRAN DAN TOC GIAI PHONG MIEN NAM VIET NAM" (National Front for the Liberation of South Vietnam), also known as the Vietcong. The central insignia states "ANH DUNG KIEN CUONG" (Brave / Resilient). The bottom states "GIAI PHONG DAK LAK" (Liberation of Dak Lak) and is dated 1968. In overall good vintage condition. There is a stitched sleeve running along the top for a rod or stick.

In the 1968 Tet Offensive during the Vietnam War, the communist forces attacked military and government positions throughout South Vietnam, including in provinces like Dak Lak.
