A superb late 19th / early 20th Century Yemeni dagger and sheath in solid silver. The dagger handle and sheath is intricately decorated with silver scrollwork and carnelian gemstone insets, with the sheath culminating in a silver meshwork with rounded tip. The fine steel blade is double-edged. The overall condition is good with slight age-related wear in places. The handle and sheath tests positive for .800 (purity) silver. Note : one carnelian gemstone inset has a small chip. A beautiful rare, piece.
