The Natal Mounted Rifles (NMR), with roots in the 1854 Royal D'Urban Rangers, is a historic South African Reserve Force regiment. Officially established in 1888 via amalgamation, the unit served in the Anglo-Zulu War, Boer War, and both World Wars as mounted infantry and later an armoured unit.
