The 8th Infantry Division ("Pathfinder") was an infantry division of the United States Army during the 20th century. The division served in World War I, World War II, and Operation Desert Storm. This is the subdued (olive drab) version. A subdued military patch uses muted, low-contrast colors (like black, olive green, brown, or tan) instead of bright, full colors, designed to reduce visibility and blend in with camouflage uniforms, making soldiers harder to spot during tactical operations, deployments, or in low-light situations, while still identifying rank, unit, or skill.
