Fée Halsted started teaching ceramics on the Ardmore farm in 1985, initially working with Bonnie Ntshalintshali.
Halsted and Ntshalintshali developed a distinctive style characterized by vibrant colors and intricate designs. Their collaboration led to national recognition and inspired the growth of the studio.
Ardmore gained prominence in the South African art scene, eventually becoming an internationally recognized brand. The studio's work is celebrated for its unique blend of African and European influences.
Ardmore is now a community of over 70 artists who collaborate on each piece, from throwing the clay to sculpting, modeling, and painting.
Ardmore's work is showcased worldwide, including at prestigious auctions like Christie's.
