A rare, antique knitting needle case with metal knitting needles. The case has decorative typography and scrollwork in warm brown and gold tones. It reads : THE CRESCENT CASE - CRESCENT QUALITY - BEST KNITTING PINS. It also bears a decription of the contents as well as instructions for use. It has a knurled metal edge for grip which turns to reveal the various needle compartments. These types of cases were common in the Victorian and Edwardian eras and were marketed to homemakers and knitters. "Crescent" was a popular brand known for durable, quality knitting supplies in England.
