Vintage 1950's Globe Lucite Table Lighter.
A vintage table lighter, probably from the mid-20th century, featuring a unique globe design. The lighter mechanism appears to be a standard lift-arm or semi-automatic type, likely using petrol or butane fuel. The base is made of a clear resin or lucite with a miniature globe suspended inside. The globe features antique cartography with "AFRICA" clearly visible. The top section of the base is black, possibly onyx or a similar material.
We currently have a life-long collection of lighters dating from the 1930's to the 1970's on auction. The condition of these lighters varies from fair to very good. I have photographed and described them as accurately as possible and I do mention obvious faults in the description.
